How Stripchat works: shows, tokens and what costs what

This page explains the kinds of shows you will find on Stripchat, what tokens are, and which features cost nothing versus which are paid. Stripchat.co.in is an independent guide: Stripchat itself runs the streams, the accounts and the payments, so everything described below happens on Stripchat and not on this site. All of it is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

Public shows

Public shows are free to watch with no account. You can browse models and watch public rooms without signing up. Chatting, following, or tipping needs a free Stripchat account, and tipping needs tokens.

A public show is the default room on Stripchat: anyone can open one and watch it, and browsing the model list needs no account either. Taking part is where that changes — writing a message in public chat or following a model both need a free Stripchat account, and sending a tip needs an account plus tokens. So watching is open to everyone while joining in is not, and it is worth keeping those two halves apart rather than treating the whole platform as account-free.

Private shows

Private shows are one-on-one and charged per minute in tokens at the rate the model sets. You get the model's full attention for as long as you pay.

A private show takes a model out of the public room and into a one-on-one session with you. Stripchat charges these by the minute in tokens, at a rate the model sets, and the meter runs for as long as the show lasts. Because the cost is per minute rather than fixed, a long private show adds up faster than people expect.

Exclusive private shows

Exclusive private shows are private shows no one can spy on — that extra privacy costs more per minute, otherwise format and billing are the same.

An exclusive private show works the same way as an ordinary private show, with one difference: nobody else can spy on it. That closed door is what the extra cost buys, so the per-minute rate is higher than a standard private show. Everything else — the one-on-one format, the per-minute token billing — is unchanged.

Group shows

Group shows split the cost among several viewers — cheaper per person than private, but the model's attention is shared across everyone who joined.

In a group show several viewers pay into the same show at once and split what it costs between them. The per-person rate is lower than a private show for that reason, but the model's attention is shared across everyone who joined. It suits you if you want more than a public room without paying for exclusivity.

Ticket shows

Ticket shows have a fixed token price and a set start time. Buy a ticket beforehand; everyone with a ticket enters together when it starts — easier to budget than per-minute.

For a ticket show the model announces a start time and a ticket price in tokens, and viewers buy in beforehand. When the show begins, everyone holding a ticket is let in at once. The price is fixed rather than per minute, so a ticket show is the easiest paid format to budget for — but buying late can mean missing part of it.

Spy shows

Spy shows let you watch another viewer's private show for a lower token rate — stream only, no chat. You cannot spy on exclusive privates at all.

Spying lets you watch a private show another viewer is already paying for, at a lower token rate than booking one yourself. You get the stream only: there is no chat and no way to take part. Exclusive private shows cannot be spied on at all, which is the main reason viewers pay the higher rate for them.

VR shows

VR shows need only a headset and a browser — no app to install. Rooms are labeled in listings, and you can still watch the same rooms flat on a phone or laptop without a headset.

If you have no headset you lose nothing: those same rooms still play as an ordinary flat stream on a laptop or a phone.

Fan clubs and videos

Fan clubs give ongoing access to private albums, videos, and member chat for a recurring fee or tokens; individual albums and videos can also be bought one-off.

A fan club is standing access rather than a one-off purchase: you join a particular model's club and get their private albums, recorded videos and often a members-only chat for as long as the membership runs. Individual albums and videos can usually be bought on their own as well, if you would rather not subscribe. Either way the billing happens on Stripchat, with tokens or a recurring charge depending on what the model has set up.

What tokens are

Tokens are Stripchat's on-site credit — bought in bundles on Stripchat itself and spent on tips, private time, fan clubs, and interactive features. Prices are set by Stripchat.

Free = browsing, watching public rooms, and (with a free account) chatting and following. Paid = tipping, private/group/ticket/spy shows, fan clubs and albums — all in tokens on Stripchat.
